Freestanding or ceiling supported light duty bridge cranes range in capacity from 500 to 4000 lbs. and bridge lengths up to 34'. Fabricated from steel with rigid mount end trucks, or aluminum and swivel trucks, for the smoothest motion.
Jib cranes can be pedestal mounted, or mounted on building columns or walls. Please note - anytime existing structures are used to support the crane, you must get architectural approval.
Heavy-duty bridge cranes can be designed and installed in capacities ranging from 2 tons to 10 tons, top or bottom running, with manual or fully automatic operation. The photos to the left show a 5-ton fully automatic, dual bridge crane. Baskets are brought into the load zone and sensors determine presence. The baskets need to be immersed in a series of process tanks, with each tank having differing process times. The control system selects the bridge to use to avoid conflicts in calls for pick-up. End effectors are designed to allow enough tolerance for automatic hook-up yet still safely retain the load.
